2022 Northwest Flower and Garden Show: "A Seekers Sanctuary"

Featured at the 2022 Northwest Flower and Garden Show, A Seeker’s Sanctuary earned both the Gold Medal and the prestigious People’s Choice Garden #1 Award. This stunning display was a collaboration between Ray Hammar and Crazy Hill Garden and Botanicals, designed by Michael Kerkes of Crazy Hill.

Bringing this vision to life took 45 days of dedicated work—often in freezing temperatures and harsh weather. Nearly every element was crafted from repurposed materials sourced from Ray’s shop, transforming salvaged metal and wood into an immersive, nature-inspired retreat. Despite the challenges, the team, with the help of numerous friends, successfully built and dismantled the display within the tight show schedule. The result? A breathtaking, sustainable garden that captivated audiences and took home top honors.
