Ray created the Blue Heron Panel using a repurposed large sorting screen from an old quarry. The 3/8-inch-thick panel was straightened, cleaned, and framed to form the foundation of the piece. The heron design was precision-cut by Dave Tarver on a CNC machine, while the glasswork was crafted by Cindy Duvall of Bremerton. This project showcases Ray’s ability to transform industrial materials into striking, artistic compositions.
